Details of the Volkswagen Transporter T6.1 Sportline have been released, after the model was unveiled in March 2021.
The T6.1 Sportline can be ordered with either a short or long wheelbase, and as either a Kombi or panel van. There’s a range of unique sporty styling additions and technology upgrades available, too - ensuring the perfect combination of sport and comfort.
Design
There’s a red contrast grille strip at the front plus a new bumper, and an eye-catching new spoiler at the rear - all of which are exclusive to the Sportline range. The suspension has also been lowered by 30mm, and illuminated side bars add kerb appeal.
The sporty design extends to the wheels, with 18-inch alloys available in gloss
black. The Sportline also debuts a range of new stand-out metallic colours - Indium grey, Fortana red, Ravenna blue and Copper bronze - giving the T6.1 Sportline a distinct premium edge.
The interior matches the premium yet sporty exterior with luxury Nappa leather and suede trim with honeycomb stitching, branded with the Sportline logo.
Black Edition models will also get an exclusive alloy wheel colour, matt black side bars, Eibach coilover suspension, ‘Black Edition’ decals, 90 per cent rear window tint on Kombi models, plus a Sportline gift box.
Features
Building on the range-topping Highline trim, the T6.1 Sportline has heated front seats and a cutting-edge digital cockpit (the first time this feature is available on a panel van or Kombi), plus DAB radio, climatic air conditioning, front windscreen heating, and a Discover Media Navigation system. Black Edition models get the Discover Media Pro Navigation with a 9.2-inch colour touchscreen.
Other standard features include a rear-view camera, LED headlights with high beam assist, front and rear parking sensors, Adaptive Cruise Control with City Emergency Braking and an anti-theft alarm system with interior monitoring.
All T6.1 Sportline models come with the Transporter’s range-topping 2.0-litre TDI 204PS engine and seven-speed DSG gearbox, which can do 0-62mph in 8.9 seconds and onto a top speed of 126mph.
Transporter T6.1 Sportline orders can be placed from late March 2021 and deliveries will arrive from July 2021.
