New Arteon R-Line Edition trim joins Volkswagen model line-up

A new R-Line Edition trim is joining Volkswagen’s Arteon model line-up.

The addition to the Arteon stable benefits from exclusive design features and standard equipment not offered in this combination in any other trim in the range.

Only 260 units are due to be manufactured for the UK market – production starts at the beginning of February and continues for two months.

The newcomer focuses even more on the dynamics and travel qualities of the Gran Turismo and a selection of four powerful turbocharged engines with 190PS to 272PS.

They are all efficient 2.0-litre four-cylinder engines combined with a seven-speed direct-shift gearbox (DSG). The range starts with a TSI petrol engine and a TDI turbo-charged diesel, each with an output of 90PS. The all-wheel-drive top-of-the-range diesel engine offers an output of 240PS, while the most powerful version 2.0 TSI has a peak output of 272PS as well as 4MOTION all-wheel drive.

The Arteon R-Line Edition comes in an exclusive two-tone Moonstone Grey finish with black roof matched to 20-inch Rosario alloy wheels and darkened rear windows.

The interior is fitted with the Nappa leather package and can be customised by ambient lighting. As part of the standard winter package, the outer rear seats and front seats are heated.
