Big (and small) on safety and quality at Bodyshop Live!

The Paint and Body management team supported September's Bodyshop Live 2019 event at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole with a three-car display to support a showcase that focused on the recalibration of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) after a collision.

The team, led by Mike Partridge, Paint and Body Business Manager, presented three cars: a Volkswagen Polo SE 1.0 EVO 80PS, Volkswagen Arteon R-Line 2.0 TDI 190PS DSG and all-electric Audi e-tron.

With guest host Steve Berry, formerly of Top Gear, asking the questions, technical trainers Gary West and Giacomo Chiarelli, explained the importance of resetting the ADAS correctly.

Both trainers stressed that no matter the value of the car, whether a £20,000 Polo or £80,000 e-tron, the quality of the repair and accuracy of the recalibration were the same. There is no difference between big and small crash repairs when it comes to Volkswagen Group vehicles.

Franco Iannotta, Paint and Body Business Improvement Manager, said: "Our showcase was very well received by representatives from across the accident repair industry, and we clearly conveyed the message the quality was top priority for our customers.

"It was a privilege to support Bodyshop Live 2019 and explain how we insist on the highest customer service standards."
