If you missed the live unveiling of the new A3 and e-tron S Sportback prototype, you can watch the recording of the 10-minute programme below.
Actor Tyron Ricketts guided viewers through the event and offer a look at the brand’s electrical future with the presentation of the Audi e-tron Sportback S model.
The new Technik standard specification is significantly enhanced compared with the outgoing SE Technik.
The new Technik now comes standard with:
- Full MMI Navigation Plus
- Audi Virtual Cockpit with 10.25-inch display
- Audi Connect Navigation and Infotainment Services Plus with 3-year subscription
- New 10.1-inch touch screen colour display in centre console
- LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, halogen rear headlights
- Audi pre-sense front
- Lane departure warning
Function on Demand
The new A3 will include Functions on Demand (FoD). As with e-tron, this service is not currently live but it will become available later in 2020 with Adaptive Cruise Control, High-beam Assist and Camera-based Traffic Sign Recognition.
All other FoD capable options are already standard on UK specification:
- Audi Smartphone Interface
- MMI Navigation and Audi Connect
- DAB Radio
- Audi Virtual Cockpit
Engines and technical data
From launch, two engines will be available:
- 35 TDI S tronic 150PS
- 35 TFSI manual 150PS
There will be a staggered roll out of engines, with more being announced in the coming weeks and months.
